Precision cold drawn pipes are a type of cold drawn pipe that have higher precision compared to ordinary products. What we need to know are the main characteristics and uses of precision cold drawn pipes. Precision cold drawn pipes are high-precision steel pipe materials processed through special techniques, which have many advantages after cold drawing.
Due to the excessive friction coefficient between the surface of the steel pipe and the mold during the cold drawing process, unprocessed steel pipes cannot be drawn out. Only after pretreatment can the steel pipe be rusted first, forming a dense metal soap film on the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe through phosphating and saponification. This reduces the friction between the steel pipe and the mold, ensuring the smooth progress of the drawing process. At the same time, pretreatment can also reduce the wear rate of the mold, improve the yield and work efficiency, and make the surface of the finished product smooth and uniform, with good rust prevention effects.
The following points should be noted for steel pipe pretreatment:
(1) Acid washing should be used to thoroughly remove rust. If rust is found to be not removed, re-acid washing is required.
(2) During the production process, the concentration of phosphating and saponification solutions should be regularly tested to ensure that the production indicators of these solutions are met. When indicators are found to be unsatisfactory, adjustments should be made in a timely manner.
(3) Strictly control the temperature and operating time of the treatment solution.
