

Honing tube
Honed tubes are formed through rolling, which can create a layer of cold work hardening on the surface to reduce elastic and plastic deformation of the contact surface during grinding, thereby improving wear resistance and avoiding burns caused by grinding. The surface roughness after rolling is greatly reduced, enhancing the compatibility of the grinding tube. Honed tubes are mainly used in industries such as engineering, metallurgy, plastics, mining, road construction, and textiles. There are three main processing methods for honed tubes: cold rolling, cold drawing, and honing. Currently, I will mainly introduce the differences between honed tubes and polished tubes. Honed tubes are a high-precision grinding processing technology that is used not only for round hole processing but also for tooth surface quenching. This is a polishing method. It can serve as a combined grinding tool that can be mounted on a floating fixture, allowing for self-adjustment. Therefore, it can reduce the shape error of the hole, but cannot reduce the geometric error of the hole. Polished tubes are soft polishing wheels or discs with polishing paste, which achieve a higher surface finish after polishing the workpiece. However, due to the lack of a rigid reference during processing, geometric errors cannot be reduced. But compared to honed tubes, they can polish irregular surfaces.
