

Honing tube
The so-called rolling process of honed tubes is a type of chipless processing. At room temperature, it uses the plastic deformation of metals to smooth surface roughness, thereby achieving the ultimate goal of changing surface structure, mechanical properties, performance, and dimensions. This rolling processing technology cannot achieve grinding processing while meeting the requirements of finishing and strengthening. Honed cylinders are made from steel pipe materials that have been cold drawn or hot rolled. Due to the absence of oxidation layers on the inner and outer walls of the steel pipe, high pressure resistance, no leakage, high gloss, cold bending deformation, and flattening, they are mainly used for producing pneumatic or hydraulic components. The chemical composition of honed cylinders includes carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, chromium, and chromium. The honing of cylinders commonly uses two materials: 20# steel and 45# steel. Although both materials are common, 20# steel is more popular than 45# steel and is more commonly found in the market. Our 45# steel often needs to be produced on order. Honed cylinders are processed using rolling. Due to the presence of residual compressive stress on the surface, it is beneficial for closing surface micro-cracks, reducing corrosion propagation. This enhances the surface's corrosion resistance and reduces the occurrence or propagation of fatigue cracks, thereby enhancing the fatigue strength of the honed cylinder. Through rolling forming, a cold work hardening layer is formed on the rolled surface, reducing the elastic-plastic deformation of the contact surface.
