Hydraulic Cylinder Daily Maintenance and Troubleshooting Guide

In the process of using hydraulic cylinders, it is very important to regularly check the quality and oil level of hydraulic oil. Hydraulic oil not only plays the role of lubrication and pressure transmission, but also effectively prevents corrosion and wear of internal parts of the cylinder. It is recommended to sample and analyze the hydraulic oil every 200 to 500 working hours to check its cleanliness and aging degree, and replace new oil in time if necessary. At the same time, keep the outside of the oil tank clean to prevent impurities and moisture from entering the hydraulic system, which is particularly critical for maintaining the normal operation of the cylinder.

In addition, pay attention to check the status of the cylinder seal. Aging or damage of the seal is one of the main causes of cylinder leakage. Once the cylinder is found to have leakage, it should be stopped immediately to check and replace the damaged seal. Before and after each use, the operator should observe whether the movement of the cylinder is smooth and whether there is any abnormal sound. These subtle details are often the precursors to the discovery of potential faults. Through meticulous daily maintenance and timely troubleshooting, not only can the service life of the hydraulic cylinder be extended, but also the stable operation of the entire hydraulic system can be ensured, thereby improving work efficiency and reducing unnecessary downtime and maintenance costs.
